Chapter PDFs

Each chapter will be released as a PDF. The chapter will appear more or less as it will in the ebook, but the ebook will likely have some additional differences as we refine it. There may be some delay between the deviantART posting and the PDF version being made available.

    Part 1: Dark

  1. "Paradise Interrupted" - Half-dragon Azaron's four years of relative happiness living in a tranquil forest come to an abrupt close with a visit from someone he hoped never to see again.
  2. "The Platinum-Haired Stranger" - Azaron's rescue comes in the form of a mysterious person with shiny platinum hair, an unnaturally soft voice, and powers beyond his imagining.
  3. "Strange, Costume-Wearing Freak" - An encounter with a human boy reveals exactly why Azaron abandoned civilisation.
  4. "Into Darkness" - Azaron meets some rather unpleasant characters, and takes the plunge into the dire reaches of darkness.
  5. "Dark Warriors" - What is "the Light"? And why do agents of "the Dark" keep attacking Azaron and the platinum-haired stranger?
  6. "Death and Rebirth" - Josh decides to check up on his father, whom he hasn't seen in four years. Drama ensues. Why can't Azaron lead a normal life?
  7. "Eden" - Another nightmare brings unwanted memories to the surface, as Azaron relives the worst moment of his life. Azaron discovers a new power.
  8. "Kyraeoth" - Searching for Josh, Azaron discovers the kindly Nicodeimus Kelding - but is there more to him that meets the eye?
  9. "Dark Interlude" - No wonder dark alleyways have a bad name.
  10. "Baron Mortimer" - Azaron, Josh and Kyraeoth find their biggest challenge yet in the first Elder Dark Warrior - a refined, snobbish baron named Mortimer Morgenroth.
  11. "Skylar" - A mysterious butler delivers Azaron and Josh to the third Younger Light Warrior, a girl with a personality that couldn't be more different from those of the boys.
  12. "Albus" - En route to the second Elder Dark Warrior, the trio are assailed by a mysterious enemy that doesn't appear to serve the Light or the Dark...
  13. "The Second Elder Dark" - Who is Horace Greniman?
  14. "Alexis's Challenge" - The Ancient Conflict takes an unexpected detour, about 50 metres below the ground. Just what is Azaron fighting for?
  15. "Honour and Fury" - The battles between Young Light and Elder Dark continue, while something far more dangerous approaches... (Note: This chapter has been typeset in a different style from the previous chapters; hopefully eventually they will be updated to the same style.)
