Many of you will undoubtedly have heard tales of the timeless and epic battle between Light and Dark, the balance of which maintaining the stable yet dull status quo of our world for millenia. The Ancient Conflict series of tales seeks to bring the truth of the duel of Light and Dark to the forefront of human imagination once more, in an era where humanity has all but forgotten it...
On a less poetical note, Ancient Conflict is a project created by Matt Windsor (CaptainHayashi) and Ezekiel Sitkoff (Zhs2), which seeks to spawn a contemporary fantasy universe and a series of stories written in said universe.
This mini-site also serves as the home of Matt's original character, the human/dragon-hybrid Azaron, who serves as the narrator of the initial Ancient Conflict story, imaginatively titled Ancient Conflict: Azaron.
What is the Ancient Conflict?
The Ancient Conflict is the war between the cosmic forces known only as "Light" and "Dark" which has raged underneath humanity's noses for millenia.
Originally started as a duel between two human lords and their followers, the Conflict has grown a thick layer of tradition and procedure around it, as the stalemating sides fell into a routine and the original motives for the war clouded.
